Nasze wymagania

MA in the field of social science, in the discipline of sociological sciences or a corresponding discipline in the previous classifications of fields and disciplines of science,
predispositions to conduct didactic work, especially focused on the topics of social and gender aspects of technology,
predispositions to conduct scientific research in the field of science and technology studies, especially focused on gender and social aspects of technology,
predispositions to conduct national and international basic research projects or applied research projects,
documented knowledge of English at least at level B-2, within the meaning of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages of the Council of Europe (candidates who are not Polish citizens should present a certificate of knowledge of Polish at level C-1),
willingness to be included in the number of employees conducting scientific activity in the discipline of sociological sciences (100% of working time allocated to conducting this activity),
experience and skills in teamwork within teams and research groups,
research profile consistent with the profile of the Department of Society and Technology Studies. KSSiT specializes in studying interactions between science, technology and society. Currently, a significant part of the research is located in the area of science and technology studies, with particular emphasis on anthropology of infrastructures and feminist STS. Current research projects focus among others on energy transformation, generative AI, and human ecology, design studies (including gender design), disability studies, and public understanding of science. Many of the research projects are carried out in cooperation with engineering sciences. Within KSSiT we are interested not only in basic research, but also in applied research and designing social innovations.

in the case of a foreigner or a person who has been continuously conducting scientific activity abroad for at least the last five years preceding the announcement of the competition, recognition statement from the application,
documents confirming knowledge of English at level B2 (in the absence of such documents, it is possible to take an exam organized by SJO AGH),
in the case of foreigners, a document confirming knowledge of Polish at level C1 (in the absence of such documents, it is possible to take an exam organized by SJO AGH),
a short (up to 5 pages of standard typescript) proposal of research consistent with the KSSiT profile, which the candidate can carry out as part of employment at the Department or submit it as a grant proposal; the proposal should include the scientific objective of the project, in particular the scientific hypotheses and the scientific problem the candidate will undertake to solve. The document should include significance of research, current state of research field, a research plan, methodology, and reference to key literature.
