Opis stanowiska
The scope of duties includes the implementation of research tasks within the project funded by the National Science Centre (NCN) under the SONATA 19 programme entitled: “High-strength complex zinc alloys with an enhanced thermal stability for biodegradable implant application” including:
1) preparation of materials by casting, rapid crystallization (melt spinning) and hot extrusion,
2) performing mechanical property tests: uniaxial tensile, compression and nanoindentation tests,
3) performing microstructure characterization using scanning electron microscopy (SEM),
4) performing static immersion corrosion tests and laminar flow,
5) managing and archiving design data,
6) preparing reports and scientific publications,
7) participation in international conferences.
Nasze wymagania
- PhD degree in the discipline of materials engineering obtained at an institution other than the one where employment is planned, or completion of at least a 10-month continuous and documented postdoctoral fellowship at an institution other than the one implementing the project and in a country different from the one where the PhD was obtained,
- experience working with metallic alloys in the liquid phase (e.g., casting, remelting),
- proficiency in working with scanning electron microscopes (SEM),
- skills in metallographic sample preparation for SEM and TEM analysis,
- ability to interpret selected area electron diffraction (SAED) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns,
- knowledge of the fundamentals of immersion corrosion testing,
- ability to calculate diffusion activation energy,
- basic knowledge of surface analysis methods such as wettability, roughness, and post-corrosion surface characterization is desirable,
- scientific achievements including publications in peer-reviewed journals with an Impact Factor and active participation in scientific conferences and symposia,
- organizational achievements,
- documented knowledge of English at least at B2 level.
