Opis stanowiska
We invite applications for a postdoctoral position in experimental elementary particle physics at the Department of Particle Interactions and Detection within the NCN Opus project. The selected candidate will work on feasibility studies of performing selected measurements with the ePIC detector at the future Electron-Ion Collider. And in other work related to the ePIC experiment ongoing in the AGH group.
12-month full time contract will start on January 1st, 2026 with possibility of adjustment and extension for next 12 months.
Nasze wymagania
- PhD in physical sciences,
- experience in experimental high energy particle or nuclear physics,
- very good knowledge of C++ and Python programming languages and the ROOT data analysis framework,
- the ability to use Monte Carlo generators to simulate elementary particle collision processes and the practical ability to apply methods for analysing experimental data,
- knowledge of English at least at B-2 level,
- a doctoral degree obtained no earlier than January 1st 2019 outside the AGH University of Krakow or at the AGH University provided if a continuous and documented 10-month foreign postdoctoral fellowship is completed,
- scientific and organizational achievements and active participation in conferences and symposia.
