Opis stanowiska

The project will encompass the synthesis of WCA-NHCs and boryl anions including a systematic variation of substituents for structure-activity studies. The obtained ligands are planned to be introduced into Ru-complexes endowed with a reasonable set of co-ligands, and will be tested in catalytic reactions (olefin metathesis). Computational studies will be employed for the prediction of new catalysts, the simulation of experimental data (activation barriers, rate constants) and quantum chemical insight (MO-schemes, hybridization).
Post-doc task will be to perform quantum mechanical calculations on the structures of new catalysts and their initiation pathways and mechanisms of catalytic reaction.
