Opis stanowiska

The study focuses on understanding how sequence-defined macromolecules can be programmed to fold into specific 3D structures through the selection of suitable monomeric building blocks, akin to natural macromolecules. This project aims to uncover new knowledge about single-chain folding of synthetic macromolecules with defined primary structures and their assembly into complex supramolecular architectures. Such insights are crucial for creating synthetic materials with the structural complexity and functional sophistication found in living matter.

Nasze wymagania

Documented experience in preparative organic synthesis
knowledge of polymer chemistry will be an advantage
hands-on experience in chromatographic methods (GC, HPLC, Flash)
knowledge of basic spectroscopic methods used to identify organic compounds (NMR, FTIR, CD, UV-vis, Fluorescence)
ability to design and perform syntheses of organic compounds
experience in working with a synthesizer (knowledge of phosphoramidite chemistry preferred)
ability to prepare the text of a scientific publication and present the results
knowledge of computer programs such as Origin, Mendeley, MNova

Zakres obowiązków

Designing and performing the synthesis of organic compounds, including sequence-programmable polymers.
Analyzing synthesized products using spectroscopic methods (NMR, FTIR, CD, UV-vis, Fluorescence) and chromatographic techniques (GC, HPLC, Flash).
Operating automated synthesis equipment, with a preference for experience in phosphoramidite chemistry.
Interpreting experimental results, performing statistical data analysis, and visualizing findings using software such as Origin, Mendeley, and MNova.
Preparing scientific manuscripts, compiling research data, and contributing to the publication process.
