Opis stanowiska

We are seeking a highly motivated Ph.D. student to carry out a research project under the supervision of Dr. Patrick Perrigue at the NanoBioMedical Center of Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan. Funds for the project come from the program OPUS 22 National Science Centre Poland. The aim of the project is to study nanoparticles and their suitability for tracking senescent cells.

The Ph.D. student will work on the synthesis and characterization of fluorescent nanoparticles, develop assays for improved detection of cellular senescence, and perform cell culture studies that model cancer stem cell formation from senescent cells to elucidate senescence reversion mechanisms. The successful applicant will be part of a multidisciplinary team and receive training in advanced training biological and materials science techniques. An Undergraduate/Master’s degree in Biology is required as well as a good command of English, oral and written.
