Opis stanowiska

Kozminski University invites outstanding scholars to apply for a faculty position in the Department of Social Sciences. The role offers an opportunity to pursue an independent research agenda, deliver high-quality teaching, and actively contribute to shaping the department’s academic and educational profile. The successful candidate will work in an interdisciplinary and international academic environment that encourages collaboration and professional development. The University provides stable employment conditions and support for research activities and international engagement.

Nasze wymagania

  • the academic degree of doctor habilitated (sociological sciences and/or social communication and media);
  • publications in renowned scientific journals in the area of research interests;
  • experience in teaching (experience in the practice andteaching of methodology is welcome);
  • experience in writing research applications and participation in the implementation of research projects, grants financed from domestic and foreign sources;
  • readiness to work in the research team at the Department of Social Science and publications in the field of sociology, social communication and media;
  • strong motivation to conduct scientific and research work;
  • ability to use Microsoft Office and MsTeams programs and Blackboard e-learning platform;
  • knowledge of English at the B2 level (C1 is welcome), defined in accordance with the European System of Language Education Description, enabling classes in this language;
  • fluent knowledge of the Polish language that enables conducting classes in this language, at least at the B2 level, determined in accordance with the European System for the Description of Language Education;
  • resistance to stress, independent thinking;
  • creativity, willingness to take up scientific challenges;
  • readiness to indicate Kozminski University as the first place of work;
  • availability to conduct classes on selected days of the week and on some weekends;
  • profiles on major social media (LinkedIn, ResearchGate) or readiness to set them up.

Zakres obowiązków

  • conducting research in the scientific area agreed with the Head of the Department;
  • publishing scientific articles in peer reviewed journals;
  • conducting classes in accordance with the number of teaching hours assigned to a given position in the academic year, including possibly conducting classes in English;
  • supervise students, providing academic guidance and mentorship;
  • engage in collaborative research projects aligned with the department’s goals;
  • performing administrative tasks defined by the Head of the Department;
