Opis stanowiska
The Faculty of Geoengineering, Mining and Geology is looking for a candidate for the position of visiting professor in the group of research and teaching staff at the Department of Mining. The person employed in this position will be responsible for teaching classes in the subject of „Operations research” (Lecture, laboratories), „Theory and practice in Geomechanics” (Lecture, exercises) as well as preparing topics and implementing diploma theses (engineering and master’s degrees) containing data analysis components using machine learning.

- The competition is open to a person who meets the following requirements:
- specified in the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 85, as amended) and in the Statute of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology,
- academic title of doctor
- predispositions for scientific work
- scientific achievements documented by publications
- good knowledge of English
- taking up work at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology as the primary place of work within the meaning of the Law on Higher Education and Science
Zakres obowiązków
- The duties of the Visiting Professor will include, among others:
- conducting scientific research
- conducting development work
- preparing scientific publications
- preparing applications for research and research and development grants
- participating in work commissioned by the Department
- educating and educating students
- improving qualifications
- performing administrative work related to the functioning of the Department
- compliance with the principles of ethics, and in particular the Academic Code of Ethics of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology

- Information from the National Criminal Register regarding crimes specified in Chapter XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, in Article 189a and Article 207 of the Penal Code and in the Act of 29 July 2005 on Counteracting Drug Addiction (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1939, as amended), or for prohibited acts corresponding to these crimes specified in the provisions of foreign law.
