Kozminski University is looking for candiates to fill in the position of
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Department of Accounting
Nr ref.: 12/NAUKA/KR/23
These position include the following duties:
- conducting research in the scientific area agreed with the Head of the Department,
- full-time work provided for the position in the academic year, teaching classes in accordance with the number of teaching hours assigned to a given position,
- taking care of student organizations and projects,
- performing administrative tasks defined by the Head of the Department.
Requirements for the candidate:
- doctoral degree in social or related sciences,
- publication achievements in relation to the stage of the candidate’s career, measured by publications in renowned journals with a significant national and international reach,
- precise publication plans in national and international journals with IF,
- scientific activity (including efforts to obtain research grants tailored to the stage of the candidate’s career,
- including NCN and NCBiR grants) or willingness to apply for a research grant within the first two years of work,
- experience of working in international research teams will be an additional advantage,
- work experience in an academic environment is welcomed,
- international experience is welcome (including participation in conferences and international cooperation),
- teaching experience in the field of accounting, including in an online environment,
- experience in teaching small business accounting and tax accounting, documented by high grades of classes, will be an additional advantage,
- an additional advantage will be internships/scholarships/teaching classes at foreign universities,
- other special achievements (e.g. awards) and experience (e.g. serving as an editor in international journals,
- organization of national or international conferences) are welcomed,
- certified auditor qualifications, ACCA, CIMA or similar qualifications are welcomed,
- knowledge of the methodology of quantitative research and/or qualitative research confirmed by published scientific works,
- communication skills and the ability to work in a team,
- the ability to present research and teaching interests,
- ability to work in intercultural teams,
- analytical and synthesis skills,
- respect for diversity and differentculture,
- motivation and availability,
- knowledge of Office 365 and Microsoft Teams,
- knowledge of tools for remote work is welcome (e.g. MIRO),
- programming skills (R, Python or VBA) and knowledge of statistical data analysis software is in case of conductive studies using quantitative research methods,
- knowledge of qualitative data analysis tools (e.g. MAXQDA) in case of conductive studies using qualitative research methods,
- knowledge of English at least at the B2 level in the case of Polish as the mother tongue and C1 in other cases,
- defined in accordance with the European System of Language Education Description,
- knowledge of the English language at least at C2 level will be advantageous,
- knowledge of the Polish language at least at B2 level will be advantageous,
- profiles on major social media (LinkedIn,, Researchgate) or readiness to set them up,
- readiness to indicate Kozminski University as the first place of work.
