Kozminski University is looking for candiates to fill in the position of
PROFESSOR
Department of Accounting
Nr ref.: 13/NAUKA/KR/23
These position include the following duties:
- conducting research in the scientific area agreed with the Head of the Department,
- full-time work provided for the position in the academic year, teaching classes in accordance with the number of teaching hours assigned to a given position,
- taking care of student organizations and projects,
- performing administrative tasks defined by the Head of the Department.
Requirements for the candidate:
- academic degree of doctor habilitated, in the case of obtaining the academic degree of doctor at a foreign university, scientific achievements sufficient to consider the achievements as equivalent to the degrees of doctor habilitated,
- publication achievements in relation to the stage of the candidate’s career, measured by publications in renowned journals with a significant international reach,
- precise publication plans in journals from the discipline in international journals will be an additional advantage (pipeline of at least 3 articles from the ABS list, min 3*),
- publications published in international research teams are welcomed,
- scientific activity (including efforts to obtain research grants, managing research projects),
- evidence of ability of aquiring external research grants,
- experience of participation in externally funded national or international research grants,
- teaching experience in the field of accounting,
- experience in teaching small business accounting and tax accounting will be an additional advantage,
- experience of conducting classes in English in an international environment is welcome,
- experience in conducting trainings and courses at the executive level is welcomed,
- organization of conferences, seminars, also online,
- readiness to get involved in the organizational work of the Department and Kozminski University,
- certified auditor qualifications, ACCA, CIMA or similar qualifications, tax advice or activities aimed at obtaining them are welcomed,
- internships at foreign universities and foreign scholarships are welcomed,
- communication skills and the ability to work in a team,
- the ability to present research and teaching interests,
- analytical and synthesis skills,
- respect for diversity and different culture,
- motivation and availability,
- knowledge of Office 365 and Microsoft Teams,
- knowledge of tools for remote work is welcome (e.g. MIRO),
- programming skills (R, Python or VBA) and knowledge of statistical data analysis software is in case of conducting studies using quantitative research methods is welcome,
- knowledge of qualitative data analysis tools (e.g. MAXQDA) in case of conducting studies using qualitative research methods is welcome,
- knowledge of English at least at the B2 level in the case of Polish as the mother tongue and C1 in other cases,
- defined in accordance with the European System of Language Education Description,
- knowledge of the English language at least at C2 level will be advantageous,
- knowledge of the Polish language at least at C2 level will be advantageous,
- profiles on major social media (LinkedIn, Researchgate) or readiness to set them up,
- readiness to indicate Kozminski University as the first place of work.
