Opis stanowiska
We invite applications for a postdoctoral position in theoretical nuclear physics to be employed as a research assistant professor in the Department of Applied Nuclear Physics in the project NCN Opus. The successful candidate will be part of the project team (A. Bzdak and P. Bozek (piotr.bozek@fis.agh.edu.pl) from AGH and W. Broniowski from IFJ) working on theoretical modeling of ultrarelativistic nuclear collisions. We are looking for candidates with experience in theoretical nuclear physics or similar fields, having skills in computer programming and computer simulations.
24-month contract starts on October 1st, 2025.
Nasze wymagania
- PhD in physical sciences,
- demonstrating scientific and organizational achievements and active participation in conferences and symposia,
- knowledge of heavy-ion collision phenomenology,
- having scientific achievements in the field of theoretical nuclear physics or similar field,
- fluency in computer programming,
- knowledge of English at least at B-2 level,
- a doctoral degree obtained no earlier than 1 January 2018 outside the AGH University of Krakow or at the AGH provided that a continuous and documented 10-month foreign postdoctoral fellowship is completed.
