Director of Centre of New Technologies of the University of Warsaw, with the approval from the Rector of the University of Warsaw, announces the opening of the position of Research University Professor (new lab leader of research group) in the area of exact, natural and medical sciences.

Nasze wymagania

  • ● a doctoral degree with habilitation or higher, obtained in Poland or a country of the EU, EFTA, OECD or nostrified on the date of employment at the latest (Unless the candidate meets the requirements described in Art. 116 point 2a of the Act dated 20 July 2018 The Law on higher education and science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571 with amendments);
  • ● outstanding scientific achievements;
  • ● experience in leading research projects and managing research groups;
  • ● experience in securing external funds for research;
  • ● experience in developing active collaborations with scientific institutions in Poland and abroad;
  • ● international experience;
  • ● significant organizational achievements;
  • ● fluent English;
  • The candidate should also meet the requirements specified in Art. 113 and 116 of the Act of July 20, 2018, Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571).

Zakres obowiązków

  • 1. Supervision of scientific projects carried out in the laboratory.
  • 2. Organization of the work of the laboratory, including planning activities, supervising their implementation, and ensuring the timely settlement of research obligations.
  • 3. Responsibility for the financial management of the laboratory, including planning, supervising expenses, and accounting for funds in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • 4. Recruitment of employees/students necessary for the implementation of projects, acting as a direct supervisor, and supervising the safety of students and doctoral students involved in the implementation of projects.
  • 5. Performing other tasks appropriate for a group leader as specified in the internal regulations of CeNT and in accordance with the scope of duties of an academic teacher at the University of Warsaw, as defined in the Work Regulations of the University of Warsaw.

Incomplete applications, applications that do not meet the formal requirements, and those submitted after the deadline will not be considered. Participants of the recruitment procedure will be notified of the results of the preliminary qualification procedure. Candidates admitted to the second stage of the recruitment will be notified of the date of the interview, which will take place between 18 and 22 May, 2026.
