Opis stanowiska

The project explores the frontier of polymer chemistry, where advances in synthesis now allow for precise control over monomer sequences with biological-like precision. To harness these materials for practical applications, a sustainable and efficient approach must be developed.
The study focuses on understanding how sequence-defined macromolecules can be programmed to fold into specific 3D structures through the selection of suitable monomeric building blocks, akin to natural macromolecules. This project aims to uncover new knowledge about single-chain folding of synthetic macromolecules with defined primary structures and their assembly into complex supramolecular architectures. Such insights are crucial for creating synthetic materials with the structural complexity and functional sophistication found in living matter.

Nasze wymagania

Documented experience in preparative organic synthesis
Hands-on experience in chromatographic methods (GC, HPLC, Flash)
Knowledge of basic spectroscopic methods used to identify organic compounds (NMR, FTIR, CD, UV-vis, Fluorescence)
Ability to design and perform syntheses of organic compounds
Ability to prepare the text of a scientific publication and present the results
Knowledge of computer programs such as Origin, Mendeley, MNova

Mile widziane

Knowledge of polymer chemistry will be an advantage
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
