Opis stanowiska
We invite applications for a postdoctoral position in experimental elementary particle physics at the Department of Particle Interactions and Detection within the NCN Opus project. The selected candidate will work on the development of innovative detection systems designed for track reconstruction in the upgraded LHCb experiment operating at the HL-LHC accelerator. The main objective of the project is to contribute to research on new silicon sensor structures that exhibit significant resistance to radiation damage induced by fast hadrons and are capable of 4D measurements (reconstructing the position of the interacting particle along with precise time measurement).
12-month full time contract starts on February 1st, 2026 with possibility of extension.
