Kozminski University is looking for candiates to fill in the position of
Research Assistant in the Department of Economic Psychology
Ref: 6/NAUKA/KPE/23
These positions include the following duties:
- conducting research in the Department’s discipline and publishing in journals with an assigned impact factor,
- research cooperation with other employees of the Department aimed at publishing in high-profile journals,
- teaching a limited number of classes, in accordance to the position and teaching load assigned to the position, mostly in Polish but occasionally teaching in English also posible ,
- supervision of students’ projects,
- performing administrative tasks as defined by the Head of the Department.
Requirements for the candidate:
- completed master’s studies in psychology,
- presentation of a realistic plan to a doctoral degree is welcome,
- knowledge of English at least at the C1 level, as defined in the European System for the Description of Languages,
- will be an advantage knowledge of English at the C2 level allowing to teach classes in English,
- knowledge of the Polish language at least at the C1 level,
- having the ability to carry out empirical research,
- defining the research area for the needs of the future doctoral thesis,
- research interests consistent with the profile of employees of the Department of Economic Psychology are welcome,
- publications in national and/or international scientific journals and/or professional magazines are welcome,
- readiness to submit an application for a research grant for early stage researchers
- work in research projects/grants financed from domestic and/or foreign funds is welcome,
- experience in teaching is welcome,
- coaching experience, is welcome,
- membership/functions held in scientific/ professional organizations are welcome,
- experience with mass media is welcome,
- business experience is welcome (e.g. work in a market research company, financial institution or in other industries related to the so-called applied psychology),
- experience with public speeches in a business environment is welcome,
- internships at foreign universities and foreign scholarships are welcome,
- high level of digital competence enabling the operation of IT systems,
- knowledge of software tools supporting research work is welcome or readiness to learn them on your own (R/Python, PsychoPy/Inquisit environment),
- interpersonal skills – including communication, coperation, conflict resolution, adaptation, teamwork,
- ability to think creatively and take initiative, resistance to stress is welcome,
- profiles on major social media (Google Scholar & Researchgate, LinkedIn) or readiness to set them up,
- availability to conduct classes on selected days of the week and selected weekends –
in accordance with the schedule set by the didactics department, - readiness to indicate KU as the first place of work (in case of full-time).
We offer:
- contract of employment,
- full-time or part-time job (0,5) employment for the position,
- the annual amount of teaching load: 210 (full-time),
